Minecraft houses can come in many shapes and sizes, and sometimes a more modern look can really make for a great looking home for the future.
When players come up with their own design for a modern house in Minecraft, it never hurts to look at other players’ designs for inspiration. Community-shared builds and designs are constantly increasing as players post their creations online, so there are always new designs to consider implementing.
There are countless modern home designs out there, but some certainly stand out this year as particularly worth seeing.
Minecraft: awesome modern house designs for inspiration
7) Azure Modern House
A downloadable map of Planet Minecraft for players to play in and examine, Azure is a very pleasant house made mostly of white concrete as well as spruce and dark oak wood. Beautiful hedges rest outside the deck-style porch, with outdoor dining tables and candles for ambiance. The home also includes a back patio with a pool and fireside seating area. It may not be the biggest modern home, but it is painstakingly detailed.
6) Modern and comfortable house
Built by Minecraft YouTuber Shock Frost, this modern house build is compact and mostly features easy-to-access blocks. It even uses sandstone in a fundamental sense to support the rest of the house.
The house itself uses blocks that are a little harder to find, like quartz and stained glass, but the end product is beautiful. The multi-story design buries below ground level, allowing players to step out into a nearby pool and enjoy nearby hedgerows as well.
5) Small quartz house
Another Minecraft build by Shock Frost, this design is more open and focuses more on accessibility. Composed mostly of quartz, wooden planks, and oak logs, this build can be completed quickly and won’t drain a Minecraft player of their most valuable resources and blocks.
Granted, this build will take a lot of Quartz, so Survival players will want to make sure they have fairly easy access to the Nether in order to collect what they need.
4) Pastel Modern Home
For a more colorful touch, Minecraft players might want to consider this pastel pink version. Sporting two stories with magnificent views, this design incorporates a strong application of pink terracotta blocks, polished diorite and smooth quartz blocks. The outdoor flowers and bushes also spruce things up, and the stained glass window is a great touch to complete it all.
3) Small modern house
Using accessible blocks but modern styling, this Minecraft build is extremely compact. Players may not have much leeway in this type of house, but it still provides them with everything they might need and can be built relatively quickly. The addition of leaf blocks to the roofs infuses natural elements among the blocks, and the rose bushes hugging the driveway also provide a nice touch.
2) Modern cave house
Cave houses are cool builds in Minecraft, and this build incorporates a modern look. Constructed primarily with hatches and glass windows, the exterior features wood and stone interiors for an easy building experience.
The potato farms outside of the house make it easy for players to keep their hunger up, so it’s also a great build for Survival Mode play. It may not suit all gamers’ tastes, but it’s a great combination of rustic and modern.
1) Modern starting house
This build is fantastic for new players and those who want to build a modern house quickly and economically. Made almost entirely of quartz, this build is easy to find and has all the amenities necessary for survival.
The wheat farm at the bottom of the build is also a nice touch and allows players to make some bread when they need it. The water source is also hidden by a hatch, ensuring that it doesn’t break the aesthetics of the house as a whole.
