In 2019, Kandi Burruss revealed that she was “renovating” her Atlanta home, and much to her dismay, the house is still going strong three years later. “We do not have renovate. We are still in the process of renovating,” the Kandi and the gang the boss recently told Bravo Insider. “We are in a terrible place of eternal renovation.”

While Todd Tucker blames the process of “dealing with contractors and all that madness,” the list of Kandi renovation struggles spans a bit longer: “Start conversations with people [who are] supposed to do certain things, they never do, or we’re so busy, we’re stuck with something else, we have another project, we start putting all our effort into it,” she said. “You know, it’s just a million different things.”

In summary, Kandi said, “It’s a mess.”

Although The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple once “thought about building a new house”, they finally decided to remodel their current home instead. “We had bought this land and we were going to build another house there,” Kandi recalls. “But then we [were] like, it would cost us so much money to build something bigger or nicer than the one we had. So he’s like, ‘Why not just build a housing estate on this land that we bought and renovate the house that we’re in?'”

As for when the new and improved property might finally be finished? Well, Kandi joked, “Don’t make us have a schedule.”
