Make It Right Launches Six Single-Family Home Designs for the Manheim Park Community
Make It Right, the organization formed by Brad Pitt that builds affordable, sustainable homes for those in need, has released a series of new single-family home designs by local architects to expand their efforts in Kansas City, Missouri. The new homes will be part of Make it Right’s established work in Manheim Park, complementing the affordable and community housing complex opened by the organization in 2013.

Each of the new home designs meets LEED Platinum standards, making them the greenest option for the community. Further progress in sustainability is achieved through the Cradle to Cradle design approach, which meets the specific needs of residents and creates an environment that uses solar energy, is aware of water waste and produces more energy than it uses. Reflecting on community expansion, Make It Right Director of Innovations Tim Duggan said, “Block by block, we believe Manheim Park can become Kansas City’s most vibrant and desirable neighborhood.
