TASD moves forward with the renovation of the country house | New

After approving six financial reports on the November 8 regular session agenda, the Tyrone Area School District Council discussed whether or not it would be prudent to move forward with plans to renovation proposed for the country house.

Among the items on the agenda for the consensus vote was the approval or rejection of the engineering services agreement with Stiffler & McGraw, for architectural services related to the design, call for offers and renovation of the country house. Gunter Volders wondered if approving the deal now would prove fruitless, given the supply chain and budget issues surrounding the high school auditorium renovation project. Other members, present and remote participants, debated the pros and cons of waiting to approve or moving forward with the deal and TASD Buildings and Grounds Director Jordan Good considered the design plans with the board of directors.
