The government of Telangana has launched a housing scheme for the poor and there are plans to provide 2 BHK to the poor. Now the KCR government is considering coming up with another plan. At Friday’s Assembly meeting, KCR said the government plans to launch a new scheme under which the weakest sections of society can build their houses if they have their own land. He said the government would provide financial support to financially retarded people who own land.

KCR clarified that the program will be implemented to benefit 1,000 to 1,500 people in each constituency. KCR said the ruling TRS government has spent five times as much as the Congress government on the development of the weakest sections of society during the seven years of the regime. He said opposition parties should not misrepresent the state in the name of politics.

KCR said all taxes collected were spent wisely. The Congress government had spent Rs 21,663 crore during its 10 years of rule on SC, ST, BC, minorities, women and child welfare, but the ruling TRS government spent Rs 74,165 crore rupees over the past seven years. He also said the government was building a medical college in every district and said it was spending Rs. 10,000 crores on improving basic facilities in hospitals.
